UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL AUTÓNOMA DE MÉXICO INSTITUTO DE INVESTIGACIONES FILOSÓFICAS

I obtained my Ph.D in 2012 from the University of Bologna, with a thesis entitled "Semantic Under-determinacy, Content and Context". Since then, I have worked on topics like semantic under-determinacy in natural language, context-sensitivity, linguistic comprehension. I am also interested in truth-relativism, in questions that pertain the epistemology of disagreement and in problems that regard self-centred attitudes.  I am about to finish a book draft whose contents are mainly drawn from my thesis, entitled "Semantic Under-determinacy and Communication".

My focus project at the Instituto is entitled "Sentences and Propositions: Rethinking Effability" and it deals with the alleged ineffability of propositions and mental contents that is said to follow from the semantic under-determinacy of language.
