Curso Corto - From Ideal to Radical Embodied Rationality

From Ideal to Radical Embodied Rationality
This crash course will consist of two sessions that aim to provide general knowledge regarding the concept of rationality in Twentieth-century philosophy and psychology.
In particular, the first session will cover the so-called "Standard Picture of Rationality," as per the definition given by Edward Stein, the subsequent elaboration of the concepts of "Bounded Rationality" by Herbert Simon and "Ecological Rationality" by Peter Todd and Gerd Gigerenzer.
The second session will focus on the concept of irrationality, in particular self-deception, and its conceptualization in the abovementioned views of rationality. It will also consider the possibility of extending the reflections on rationality in the perspective of 4E cognition (the view that sees cognitive processes and states as embodied, extended, embedded, and enacted).
